I’m Inés, an artist, illustrator and art educator living in Vancouver with my husband and rescue pup, Boeing. I paint at my home studio, working mainly in watercolour, ink, pastel and acrylic to make art that is inspired by the diversity of nature, delicious food and the fantastical! While my work is varied, all of my paintings can be characterized by vivid colours or detailed brushwork.
I’ve been fortunate enough to illustrate for brands, magazines and weddings, as well as work on special art commissions, including my series of pet portraits (10% of the proceeds from each pet portrait goes to the SPCA Medical Emergency fund).
Beyond my work in the studio, I have the great privilege of sharing my love for art and creativity by teaching children and adults classes in drawing and painting and running team building workshops at a local studio, The Luminous Elephant.
Through my blog and social media profiles, I share snapshots of living a creative life, works in progress, how-to’s and exciting updates from my practice. My greatest hope is that the images and content I create, I can spark a little joy in you when you see them.
A new fine art capsule collection, as well as a new print collection with a portion of each print sale going to some of my favourite charities/non-profits: SPCA, Vancouver Aquarium, Conservation International, World Wildlife Fund Canada, Watsi.
